10. At the Ten Spot, I’m feeling a little retro with this pick. With the Defenders “reboot” coming out recently at Marvel, it’s only wise for any smart capitalist to bring some “Throwback Collections” with an old 1972 arc, from Defenders issues 62-65. Collected here in a made for reality tv style story of super heroes auditioning to be a Defender for a day.
 
  9. At the Nine: Storm is now an Avenger, Norman Osborn is wrecking THANGS in TWO!!!! Avengers titles. Now the Avengers take on the alliance of about every Super Bad Organization out there in: Storm is now an Avenger, Norman Osborn wrecking things in two Avengers titles. Now the Avengers take the alliance of about every Super Bad Organization out there.  
 
8. At the Crazy Eight: So I’ve decided on giving this comic a fair chance. The last issue was pretty cool even for a stand alone issue that I was about to skip. So for being surprised, keeping it on my pull list, and more importantly…a New Marvel Universe Area called the “Tabula Rasa” is about to be introduced this week in:
 
7. At the Seven: Plain and simple, it’s my childhood hero, re-imagined, takes place in the NOW and future, and the covers are some bad ass Alex Ross covers, it’s…My Man, the Defender of the Universe:  
 
6. At Six: Dan Slot and Humberto Ramos return with a vision of the future: a New York City destroyed because of what Spider-man has done in:
 
  5. At Five: I’m going to throw a curve ball at you with this one. This one almost slipped past me during the New 52 Reboot, this one I threaten to take off my list, but this one has some really good art by Kenneth Rocafortwho will be doing a Lady Mechanika cover on issue #4 and draws one helluva Starfire. Make sure to keep an eye on this guy Rocafort.  
 
4. At Four: Sara Pichelli will be missed, but the story of Miles Morales must go on. Donning his new suit, Miles learns from Peter Park in:
 
  3. And now the top three begins here. “The Trial of Fantomex” begins here as the UXF team head into the Otherworld to pay for the sins of killing the born again child Apocalypse.  
 
2. At the DEUCE: Part Two of the Marvel Team up between Spider-Man and Daredevil picks up here with Black Cat. Artist Emma Rios did a great job on ASM’s Part 1, now it’s Mark Waid and Paolo Rivera’s turn. I really hope I can get my hands on the Bermejo variant of:

And coming in as this week’s Top MindPick’d Comic for January 18, 2012, it should come as no surprise, but when you hear the pitch that Scott Snyder said live with us on Episode #171 of The Pow Wow show, It’s a no brainer. Batman has been ensnared by the deadly trap of the Court of Owls, and Snyder promised this to be the best issue thus far…I’m a believer, and give me the variant cover too of:
